After the audit performed by the Swiss certification body SGS Sirogojno Co. was awarded the highest grade based on the compliance with the principles of the BSCI concerning social standards and working conditions. The BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative] unites more than 700 companies with the common goal of improving working conditions and ensuring the implementation of social standards throughout the supply chain.
After having introduced the production of dried fruit in 2010 Sirogojno Co. is now widening its product range by launching dried strawberry and dried plum cut in half. Like the previously introduced four sorts of low—moisture sugar infused fruit these two products are made by using high-quality fruit grown in Western Serbia. Serbia is the third largest producer of plum in the world due to a long tradition of growing and ideal climatic conditions forthis fruit sort. Made usingthe local variety “Cacanska rodna" as well as "Stanley" low—moisture sugar infused plum is moist, shelf—stable fruit with presenred piece identity and real fruit favor.
